They say the most wonderful time of year is Christmas but I say it's fall. One of my favorite seasons. The leaves begin to fall from the trees creating colorful shades of yellow, orange, red, purple, and brown. As you walk over them you hear the crunching under your feet. Thankful I don't have a lot of trees in my yard. Don't have to worry about raking them up. I can just enjoy watching them fall and change colors.
I am not a fan of pumpkin spice lattes and apple cider but I do love candy corn and hot chocolate. There are so many other things I love about fall and wanted to share some of them with you. So, here they are...
Weather. The balance between warm days and chilly nights. I can turn my a/c and fan off, open the windows and let the fresh crisp air flow through the house.
Fall fashion. Pull out the sweaters, scarfs, and boots. My go-to outfit is a cardigan (maybe with a colorful scarf) jeans and boots. Oh, and I love plaid.
Scary movies. As we gear up for Halloween all the networks start to play scary movies. I know Freeform does 31 Nights of Halloween. Depending on the movie and the night we do family movie night with snacks.
More sleep! Daylight saving time ends...fall back. It sucks that it will get dark sooner but I'm thankful for an extra hour of sleep.
New season of television shows. I don't know about you but I am looking forward to the new season of Empire, This Is Us, and How To Get Away With Murder.
Comfort food. Soups, stews, and let's not forget about Thanksgiving.
